Rooted in the Work is a liberation project born from lived experience, created to shift power into the hands of those the system was designed to break.
We exist to build what should have always existed: community-rooted solutions to harm, poverty, and punishment. Our work centers healing, resource redistribution, and systemic refusal. We don’t wait for permission, approval, or funding from institutions that have failed us, we create pathways, strategies, and spaces where our people can access power, safety, and transformation on their own terms.
Rooted in the Work is launching Two Feet Down, an RV turned mobile restorative hub that keeps two feet down where it matters.
We park where life happens and offer circles, showers, laundry, hot food, and pathways to support. Participation is free.

To build and sustain this over five years, we’re raising $1,000,000 for the vehicle, renovation, operations, and fair pay for facilitators.
If this mission speaks to you, donate, sponsor a circle, or pledge to move care at street level.
